Old Car & Truck Series

Elton’s Truck – 2016

This is the picture that started my journey of painting old cars and trucks.  I photographed this old girl in the back 40 on my friends property.  I was inspired to paint it as a gift for his 60th birthtday in late 2016.  I really enjoyed capturing the textures and colours on canvas.   It turned out this was the old farm truck my friend’s grandfather drove on the family farm many years ago.     Everyone has a connection to a special vehicle that they once drove or owned.  I continue to hunt down old vehicles and love to photograph and paint them.  Each one seems to have a story to tell.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
